Crackin' Coasters Gromit was the event that kick started things in 2015 and the event name was inspired by the itinerary including a complete walkthrough of W&G's Thrill-O-Matic! We filmed the walkthrough and even though it's in naff quality, it can still be viewed here.

The event itinerary included the usual opening day activities, first public rides on the Big One and a buffet in the Pizza Kitchen! The day ended with an hour's ERT on Nickelodeon Streak.

Truthfully, I don't remember too much about this event!

"No Fly Zone" was the name for this one, originally it had been planned to be our celebrating Skyforce's opening event! Skyforce wasn't ready, so the event name was changed and the plans too! It was a bit surreal seeing Skyforce testing as we were having our rearranged ERT on another attraction!

The event included an Avalanche ERT, a big buffet lunch and a Ghost Train walkthrough.

This particular event was a personal victory for non-event reasons even if the event was great, it was the first time I'd been out of the house for a full day after completing 9 weeks of intense chemotherapy!

The event was called "Twin Arrows" at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, it was a terrible event name but the itinenary included ERTs on Red Arrows Skyforce and the Big One, plus tickets for the Hot Ice matinee. Also included on the event was lunch at the Big Pizza Kitchen, a BBQ opposite the Avalanche and final rides of the day on the Grand National.

I seem to remember us all feeling a bit sickly after having a buffet at the Pizza Kitchen and then the BBQ a few hours later! I can't remember why I booked two buffets for this event, maybe it was a sign of my appetite returning!

The 2015 season was a quiet one for events, but still a good one! The year came to a close with our only ever ERT session on the Wild Mouse before the Pleasure Beach opened, we also had ERT sessions on Infusion and the Big Dipper. The Big Dipper ERT was a last minute change over, it was due to be the Grand National but torrential rain caused the exit to flood!

The weather was absolutely terrible, the park had all but emptied by 12 noon but it was mostly enthusiasts left at the park. You'll not be surprised to read we decided to hammer the water rides on the basis of 'we can't get any wetter!'.

This event brought an end of an era, it was the final time we'd work with Mark in corporate sales at the Pleasure Beach as he moved onto new things. Mark was a big part in PBE growing as a coaster club and we'll always be thankful!
